Rough Ride is the latest in the Chaos MC series from Kristen Ashley. This is the book a lot of fans weren’t expecting but secretly hoping for...at least I was! Readers of the series first met Rosalie Holloway in book one of the Chaos series during Shy and Tabitha’s story. She seemed like a nice person that got a really raw deal. From the first time she showed up on the page though there was something intriguing about her and readers wanted to know more about her story. Kristen Ashley delivers above and beyond in this short story not only giving us the background on Rosalie and all that’s come to pass since book one but also building her into a true, imperfect, heroine. Even though this is a short book within the series I think Rosalie may be my favorite heroine to date. Kristen Ashley continues to grow as an author and constantly delivers stories that are emotional and satisfying reads. I can’t wait for the next one in the series. She remains firmly entrenched on my auto buy list.
Everett “Snapper” Kavanagh has been in love with Rosalie Holloway for years. First she belonged to his friend and he wouldn’t cross that line. Then Rosalie became involved with someone new, someone from a rival motorcycle club, and when things start to go very wrong in that club she volunteers to inform on them. Snapper has to put all of his efforts in to keeping her safe and guiding her through the danger they are both courting so that he even has a shot to heal her heart and see about securing their future.
From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Kristen Ashley comes a new story in her Chaos series…
Rosalie Holloway put it all on the line for the Chaos Motorcycle Club.
Informing to Chaos on their rival club—her man’s club, Bounty—Rosalie knows the stakes. And she pays them when her man, who she was hoping to scare straight, finds out she’s betrayed him and he delivers her to his brothers to mete out their form of justice.
But really, Rosie has long been denying that, as she drifted away from her Bounty, she’s been falling in love with Everett “Snapper” Kavanagh, a Chaos brother. Snap is the biker-boy-next door with the snowy blue eyes, quiet confidence and sweet disposition who was supposed to keep her safe…and fell down on that job.
For Snapper, it’s always been Rosalie, from the first time he saw her at the Chaos Compound. He’s just been waiting for a clear shot. But he didn’t want to get it after his Rosie was left bleeding, beat down and broken by Bounty on a cement warehouse floor.
With Rosalie a casualty of an ongoing war, Snapper has to guide her to trust him, take a shot with him, build a them…
And fold his woman firmly in the family that is Chaos.
**Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you'll enjoy each one as much as we do.**
