I was in Nawlins last year and never saw the things Lacey Alexander wrote in "French Quarter", I'm going again next August and will definitely be looking up some of these places.
HOT IN THE CITY is a trilogy of New Orleans with French Quarter being the first. Lacey stated this was a re-issue...where the hell was I when they first came out? Now I have to wait for the other two to be re-issued, and I will be checking on release dates!
Liz thinks her fianc‚ Todd is cheating on her. Her neighbor and BFF Lynda sends her to the PI that she used in her divorce. Lynda left out the part that Jake Wade is an Adonis and very Hawt!
Jake is doing so much better with his agency that he no longer does the kind of work that Liz needs. But then again she thinks he could definitely handle her and thanks to the clothes Lynda loaned her Jake is thinking the same thing. So wanting to see more of Liz, as if all the cleavage she was showing wasn't enough, he takes on her case. Along with some input from his hunky "Ken" friend whose really named Ty.
Jake's first night on the case he spies the rat Todd in a strip club getting lap dances, but the photos are so grainy that Liz is not sure it is Todd so they agree to meet in two nights at the Club.
While Liz is at the club with Jake, of course Todd shows up for his usual lap dances. Liz keeps in the dark and after Todd leaves her education into this night life begins. Did she really just get it on with a woman? She is finally set free. So where does that freedom take her? How is she at being a Domme with Jake? Where does Ty come into the picture? Does Todd finally get his comeuppance or does he go off the deep end and retaliate?
Read this can't put down book French Quarter by Lacey Alexander and find out. Ever wonder what you can do with a feather boa?
My idea of Nawlins will never be the same, only better. Big easy here I come.
The decadence of Bourbon Street is beckoning…
When prim, proper Liz Marsh suspects her fiancé is cheating on her, she’s almost too embarrassed to hire a P.I. to prove it. And when she gathers her courage and walks into Jack Wade’s office, she has no idea he’ll be the sexiest man she’s ever encountered, nor that his light Cajun accent will make her tingle in all the wrong—or is that right?—places.
After Jack brings her questionable yet undeniably arousing evidence, the only solution is for Liz to get a closer look with her own eyes. And Jack is more than happy to show her everything she’s been missing. One night in the French Quarter’s entrancing red light district, and Liz finds herself caught up in the provocative allure of an erotic new atmosphere and the sudden, urgent need to experience it for herself—with Jack.
Jack’s normally a keep-it-casual guy, but as nights with Liz get hotter, so do Jack’s feelings for the seductive woman in his arms. Bourbon Street decadence beckons and Liz embarks on a sizzling journey of sexual awakening that has her more willing to shed her inhibitions minute by carnal minute. But someone else has noticed her insatiable appetite for sensual adventure, someone who’s just beginning to realize what he’s lost—and who’s determined to tear Jack and Liz apart…
Warning: Contains sizzling hot sex any way she wants it—and a man (or two) more than willing to show her the ropes. Let the good times roll, baby!
