Blue Moon Rising is a very fast paced read for the most part. This novel keeps you guessing from the very beginning. It is one mystery on top of another. Tara Nina gives hints along the way, but until the end you never really get the whole picture. The story can be confusing if you are not paying attention because of the details, but it is hard to put down, let alone, not pay attention.
The characters are enjoyable and tend to keep you guessing to. A few of them changed my mind throughout the story on how I felt. Nick and Rae are genuine and react to situations believably. The emotions that the characters show are genuine and believable as the story flows through to the end. The story ends happily but leaves it open for a second one. I am looking forward to a second book in this series. This was a great opener for The Lykoians.
