Banished Scoundrel

Banished Scoundrel was a very enjoyable book. It keeps you guessing the entire time.

Kitty, the princess has been used since she was kidnapped. Sloan, the man who kidnapped her, has made Kitty be his slave and by doing this she starts to doubt herself on her journey home with Jack. Jack has his own doubts about his self-worth. He doesn't believe that Kitty can love him because nobody else in his life has ever stayed with him. His mother abandoned him, and his best friend, the King, dies. He has been rejected multiple times by the Queen and his uncle. He is not even allowed in Ardenia again. As both Kitty and Jack deal with their doubt they continue to fall in love with each other but neither knows how the other one feels.

There is plenty of action in this story. Kitty and Jack are on the run, trying to make it to Ardenia before Sloan's men catch up to them. But Sloan's men are not the only ones they have to worry about. This story is detailed but not overly so and it runs very smoothly. There are no inconsistencies, and it leaves you wanting the next installment in this series. This is the second story but you do not have to read the first one, Banished Hero, to enjoy this story fully.
