Briar wants nothing more to be a true healer, one who can heal the soul, the body and everything. She’s from a very small, very rural village and did have all the advantages of her peers growing up in more urban areas. Which is way when she filled out her application for the Academy, she went with the thought if they didn’t ask directly, she wasn’t telling. Now, she has a problem. She’s still a virgin at 21 and that isn’t going to work in her Healing Arts program.
Uthiel is a paladin. He is to protect the dragons that live on Albrath. But Uthiel has a secret too. A couple of years ago, Uthiel and his girlfriend were in the dragon nesting area when they decided to have sex in an empty nest. Just before he came, a dragon came in picking up his girlfriend and dropped her to her death. Since then, Uthiel can’t come. His father thinks attending a Healing of the Soul class will help but Uthiel knows that only killing the red dragon that killed his girlfriend will heal his soul.
Uthiel and Briar are partners in their healing souls class leaving Briar no choice but to ask Uthiel for his help in getting rid of her virginity. When Uthiel shares his secret though, Briar will not stop until she finds a cure for him.
As they study and practice, Uthiel and Briar become close; neither are sure that it’s love. But with Uthiel after a dragon and Briar studying to be a true healer, do they have a chance?
Welcome to a world of magic and sex. It’s an interesting world that has been creative and one that after the first shock, you may not want to leave. Spells and all types of magic are practiced by various beings. There are elves, mages, dwarves, humans and all sorts of combinations. There is even an island that follows the dragons! Sex can be for pleasure, procreation or healing. Demonstrations for learning purposes are common. There are even classes on seduction, in urban areas, for teens.
Sex and sexual acts are a big part of this culture and of this book. Scenes can be everything from kissing to an orgy. So, expect plenty of graphic and erotic scenes with various combinations and players. However, also be warned, one of the participants is a blow up doll named Miss Kitty.
Briar is accident prone which leads to all sorts of problems, most of them humorous to but not to her. But Briar isn’t the only one that supplies humor throughout this story. There is plenty to go around and these splashes of humor give a wonderful light-hearted feel to this wonderful book.
The characters are awesome. Not only do the main characters keep you entertained but so do the secondary ones. Everyone is unique and inspired allowing you to become part of this definitely different world. The descriptions of the characters bring them to life without being tedious in detail.
I absolutely loved this book. From being to end, I was festinated. How was this going to work or what is going to happen or how shocking were common thoughts as I read as fast as I could. At first I tried to figure out if this was an erotic fantasy or an erotic romance but I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s both. Not only that, it’s done well as both.
Totally and completely recommend this book to anyone who loves flights of fancy, lots of sex and a real love story. You won’t want to put it down!
New to The Academy of Magical Arts, Briarlarn Tumbleweed wants to learn the art of a True Healer, but her nerves get the best of her when she’s paired in the sexually dynamic healing class with Uthiel Stoutheart, Paladin of the Realm. Between burning off his eyebrows and overturning a candle on certain exposed male parts, she isn't making a very good impression. But how can she focus when Uthiel is strong, brave, and touches Briar in a way that leaves her weak in the knees, quivering with pleasure, and begging for more?
Falling in love with the accident-prone but talented Briar was not what Uthiel had planned, but life with the sexy healer is adventurous, hilarious, mind-blowingly stimulating, and clearly his destiny. His soul awakens while taking her to new heights of ecstasy, yet he can't allow his own pleasure. There’s no getting around it—he must leave The Academy and pursue his quest to right the wrongs done to his people if he can ever hope to find happiness with Briar.
But is their love strong enough to mend the magic so desperately needed to preserve their world, and that touches both their souls with a searing heat?
