In Total Flirt, Ms Violet Blue gives tips on flirting, getting that guy's interest and how to get out of a bad situation. Broken up into 9 chapters and subtopics within each chapter, you get a step by step outline on how to flirt and what to look for.
First, not everyone is the same and so it would be fairly obvious not everyone's flirting style would be the same either. In Chapter 1, readers are asked to take a Flirt Style Quiz. There are no right or wrong answers but based on your answers you will fall into one of four different flirting styles: sweetheart, diva, femme fatale or ruler of all mankind.
Chapter Two goes over some basic steps to get noticed including how to walk and being sexy comes from the inside, not what is on the outside.
Body language is explained in Chapter Three. You may say yes but what if your body is saying no. Ms Blue goes over how to express without words what you want in a few quick pages.
Having a good opening line is important and Chapter Four gives tips on how to come up with one. It also explores where to find that guy and how to decide if the venue is the right one to flirt with him.
Chapter Five talks about how to talk while Chapter 6 talks about fashion and what to wear. Chapters 7, 8 and 9 discuss reading his body language, what to do when someone else is in the picture and how to avoid disasters.
While this may seem like a silly topic, flirting is a serious subject and the art of flirting can not be overrated. After all, flirting is all about getting someone's attention and keeping it! Isn't that what you want to do at a party?
Much of this book is dedicated to body language, how to read, how to change it and what it means. Again, body language is an important tool, not only in flirting but in every day interactions. Knowing that you have that guy's attention is just as important as knowing you have your boss's attention and knowing how to read their body language will give you clues as to what you are doing right and what you might need to change.
There are references in this book to movies and actresses which readers may or may not know. Most are icons so the name will at least sound familiar even if the face doesn't come to mind. Regardless, while these references are nice, they aren't necessary to understand the points that are being made.
I found this book interesting. For someone needing pointers on how to get a guys attention without falling in his lap, this could be the reference book you need. It's fast paced with a couple of quick easy quizzes to point you in the right direction. If you are needing more information or want to see videos showing what is in this book, at the end of the book are instructions and a website to do so.
Overall, regardless of your style, you can pick up some good flirting tips and some tips about guys and their pick up lines by reading Total Flirt.
