Time Thief

A Time Thief Novel, #1

I love Katie MacAlister’s stories and was totally exited to see a new series come out of her fertile mind. She has a versatile world that can sustain several series at once with each feeling unique and each story is totally different. Time Thief has references to this world, i.e. the Watch and a brief mention of dragons, but shares another aspect of it, that of the Travelers. I don’t know if all Traveler men look like male models but the ones in this story do! That’s a definite plus. But even more important in this paranormal mystery romance is the humor that is seeped into every scene. From the first page until the last, you can’t help but laugh as Kiya falls over dead bodies, tries to keep her ancient VW bug operating and takes a job watch 5 pug dogs all while falling in love with Peter who is investigating a murder for that paranormal police, the Watch. To keep it really interesting, the main suspects are Peter’s Traveler family who shun him and Peter comes with the glowing soul of a 17 year old he accidently killed while stealing time. Weather you love romance or mystery, this hilarious story will keep your attention and have you looking for the next book. Ms MacAlister has another winning series!

Kiya is only looking to make enough money to keep her beloved car on the road when she ends up in the middle of a murder investigation. Still, nothing seems right and sometimes she feels like she’s already done or said something before. Peter has been sent by the Watch to track down a murderer and it looks like one of his cousins could be the guilty person. As he tries to investigate, Kiya keeps popping up and she’s distracting him from his job. This has never happened before. Can he put Kiya off until he finds his murderer or will it just be simpler to just let her help? Somehow it doesn’t matter as things keep spiraling out of control. If only you could reset time? But, Travelers can……

Book Blurb for Time Thief

Outcast due to their ability to manipulate time, shunned by the mortal and immortal worlds alike, a Traveller’s life is anything but easy.

Traveller Peter Faa is a member of the Otherworld’s Watch tracking down a murderer, and unfortunately, the clues all seem to point toward his own estranged family. Any of his cousins could be guilty, but finding which one is tricky when they’re all experts in the art of stealing time.

After surviving a lightning strike, Kiya Mortenson is determined to get just one thing in her life right. And if that means taking a job as nanny to five pugs who live in a campsite in the Oregon wilderness, then so be it. It doesn’t hurt that the job comes with some pretty spectacular male eye candy, including her new boss’s gorgeous black sheep grandson. If only she didn’t keep having this strange sense of deja vu…

When Peter discovers that his own family is stealing time from Kiya, all bets are off. While she may drive him crazy at times, it’s clear to him that it’s not just lightning that’s creating some serious sparks between them. And he’s not going to let secrets, lies, or a devious murderer keep Kiya from where she belongs: at his side.
