Theirs to Keep

Tangled Hearts Trilogy, #1

This story has many classic Maya Bank signiture items: female in distress, strong men willing to help her, life long friendships and a bit of mystery. It quickly has you interested and hold your interest until the last page where you'll only want more. For the most part, these characters feel believable and the story works. It also took me into an areana that I'm not familar with, mixed martial arts but it wasn't necessary to know the sport to appreciate Merrick's participation. Emotions run strong through the story as the two friends find themselves wanting the same woman and aren't use to sharing. Elle comes across as a bit helpless but she also shows an inner core of strength. That inner core keeps her from being a total whimp. This is a romance with adventure and unanswered questions which will carry on into the next book. (Which won't come out fast enough for me!) Also, expect another classic Maya Bank signiture item, hot sex that will warm you up on the coldest winter night.

Cade Walker and Merrick Sullivan expect the alarm going off at the gun store where they provide the security to be nothing more than a cat or some kids breaking windows. They don't expect to find a scared woman hiding in a cabinet who doesn't remember anything. While the men would love to call the police or take her to the hospital, her reaction to each suggestion has them calling another long time friend who is a doctor. Unwilling to just put her on the street, Cade and Merrick bring her into their home. Soon they both realize that they are attracted to Elle. Will Elle come between them or will they be able to figure something out? And, why doesn't Elle remember anything and who tried to kill her?

Book Blurb for Theirs to Keep

When Cade Walker and Merrick Sullivan find Elle hiding in the cabinet of a gun store, they know they can’t just walk away from the fragile woman with no memory of who she is or who tried to kill her. Merrick is training for the title shot in the heavyweight division as a mixed martial artist and can’t afford distractions, but neither can he turn his back on the woman who tugs at his heartstrings.

Elle feels safe with her two protectors, and the longer she spends with them, the more she realizes that she has no desire to remember her past. Not when it could compromise her future with Cade and Merrick.

Cade has his own set of issues when it comes to Elle, and it quickly becomes clear to the two men that for the first time in their friendship, a woman is coming between them. But what if they just kept her there? Between them. Where she belongs.
