The Maverick of Copper Creek

Copper Creek Cowboys, #1

This is the first book in a new series by R.C. Ryan and it looks to be as good as previous ones. It quickly grabbed my attention and the complexity of the story added a depth that I didn’t expect. While I was pretty sure who the bad guy was, I still enjoyed the entire journey before the reveal. But, there is still another out there, and while I think I might know who, I’m not saying. If you haven’t already guessed, along with the romance there is a bit of mystery. Actually, there are a couple of mysteries which just makes the story better. It’s also full of sexy cowboys and a western feel that is undeniable. While some of the scenes are a bit over the top, for the most part this is a well written fun story that I really enjoyed. I liked all of the characters and can’t wait to read more about them. This is one western family that can’t be beat.
