Though this is the third book in this loosely connected series, it not necessary to read the previous books to thoroughly and completely enjoy this one.
This story takes you on a journey of discovery and learning. It takes you outside the well working BDSM hetero relationships and has you exploring one that doesn’t work between a couple of hot women. Helping them is a Dom without a sub, who knows what his role in this relationship is and is trying hard to stay in it, even though one of the women he has had a crush on since high school. I found the relationships and characters real as these characters became more than just characters in a book. All sorts of emotions flew off the page such as jealousy, insecurity, social pressures and not being able to be everything to everyone. Basic BDSM rules are explained and explored such as the importance of a safe word and how do you know what role you should be playing. Absolutely awesome describes how I saw this book. I was glued to the page and couldn’t put it down. Though I’ve been reading BDSM books for a while, this one brought a fresh view to things that are generally taken for granted.
There are a lot of hot sex scenes in this book. Most, if not all, are f/f or ménage. BDSM plays a major role in it also though it is mostly bondage and light play. No edgy or hard core stuff.
Reece and Scarlett have been dating and living together for over a year. They love each other and are committed to each other. Both are bi but Scarlett has never been with a man while Scarlett is the first woman Reece has ever dated. They know that they are drawn to kink but it doesn't seem to work for them. Instead of giving up, they go to friends for help. They suggest having Malachi see what they are doing and offer suggestions. This would be fine except Malachi and Reece have a past, and not a good one. Can Reece and Malachi put the past aside so he can help the women achieve the relationship they want or will things get even worse than they already are?
Reece and Scarlet have everything a loving couple could want, except a hot kinky sex life. Malachi, an experienced Dom, steps in to help them sort that out. But not only is he a terrible memory from Reece’s past, he’s a smartass and damaged goods, too.
As they all learn to trust each other, Malachi becomes more than just their kink coach. It’s a full-on brat smackdown, and no heart gets out unscathed.
Warning: this book contains unrepentant brats, surprise orgasms, a Domme with training wheels, and a Dom whose tongue is registered as a weapon of mass seduction.
