The Dark-Hunters, Vol. 2

Dark-Hunter Manga Series

Kyrian is an immortal Dark Hunter who has a human accountant girl friend, Amanda. Kyrian met her while after the daimon, Desiderius. Desiderius is still on the loose when Kyrian discovers his powers gone! After calling a friend, he learns what happened and he gets a hint on how to defeat Desiderius. In the meantime, Kyrian has a girl friend to love, humans to protect and some memories to erase. There doesn’t look to be an easy way to do any of this but Kyrian’s going to give it his best.
His squire, Nick is willing to help, if he doesn’t drive everyone nuts first!
This is the continuation of the story started in volume one. In fact, volume one left off with Kyrian and Amanda in bed and volume two starts off with them there. While you could probably enjoy this book without having read volume one, it would be better if you have read it. Volume Two starts with chapter 11 if that gives you a clue.
As with the first book, this book opens opposite of what you would expect. Start from the end and read to the beginning, or at least that’s how it feels to me.
Considering that this is basically an adult comic book, there is a really good story going on with lots of complexity and depth. Granted the dialog is limited as is the narration but the artwork allows lots of character expressions and what dialog there is is excellent. The story stays very fast pace with lots of action, fighting and all the good stuff from a regular paranormal romance novel.
I’m happy to say that this book give you a finite ending to Kyrian and Amanda’s story but it also leads you to the next book. If you like paranormal romances presented in a comic book style, I would definitely be reading these this summer. While this isn’t my favorite style of book, I really did enjoy this story and my introduction to the Dark Hunters.

Book Blurb for The Dark-Hunters, Vol. 2

ART BY: Claudia Campos
In the war against vampires, mankind has only one hope: The Dark-Hunters. Ancient warriors who died of brutal betrayal, the Dark-Hunters have sworn themselves into the service of the goddess Artemis to protect us.
It's a pact with pretty good perks. Immortality, power, psychic abilities, wealth and a cool wardrobe. But it comes with a few drawbacks: fatal sun poisoning and a new, irreparable dental problem. But aside from the fangs and nocturnal lifestyle, it's not so bad.
Kyrian is an immortal Dark-Hunter who just lost his Dark-Hunter powers and along with it, his immortality. Now he is faced with the chance to regain not only his humanity, but his very soul. The problem is, it couldn’t have happened at a worse time. Desiderius is closing in and if Kyrian and Amanda are going to save humanity then Kyrian must take the war to his enemy or it may be too late.
