Long ingrained secrets and beliefs throw this couples’ lives into a tailspin as the deaths of Lydia’s sister and brother-in-law happens on the eve of their wedding by adding three children into the mix. Jason has backed himself into a corner while Lydia has never felt so overwhelmed. These characters are awesome. Each is their own person and while neither are perfect, both seem to compliment each other. The Montgomery family is in the middle of everything as usual so you get to see what everyone is doing. Sadly, this is the last book in this series but you do get a glimpse into the future and it’s really good. For those readers who have not read the series, don’t fret. Each book stands alone and you will still thoroughly and completely enjoy this one. I loved this story and the chaos that was created. In the mist of sadness, the liveliness of young children came through and there were plenty of places to smile. As the secret comes out, beliefs are thrown out as the truth is revealed. This is a great contemporary romance that reflects real life and all its drama.
Lydia can’t wait until tomorrow when she marries Jason. It’s been a long time coming and there have definitely been compromises. Lydia knows that she is looking at a childless marriage and Jason has stated over and over than he does not want any children. However, Lydia’s reality changes quickly when her sister and brother-in-law are killed on the way to the wedding leaving 3 small children behind. Lydia is the only one able to raise them and she wouldn’t have it any other way, even if it means telling Jason good-bye. Jason though seems to be there in the mist of chaos being the calm in the storm. Is Jason changing his mind? Or, is he just trying to make the best of a bad situation?
When Fate tosses you in the deep end, it’s time to sink or swim.

Lydia Henson’s four-year-long engagement to Jason Montgomery is about to end in a Texas wedding everyone is anticipating. She’s come to accept Jason doesn’t want children. She can live without children. She can’t live without the man she loves.
Jason has never wanted a family. At least, that’s his story and he’s sticking to it. The falsehood is less emasculating than the truth. Yet when tragedy on the eve of their wedding lands Lydia with her sister’s children to raise, Jason finds himself surprisingly calm in the midst of the chaos.
Everything he swore he didn’t want seems as natural as breathing. But just as he gathers the courage to grab for the golden ring, another unexpected twist threatens to tarnish what could have been a shining future.
Warning: Sticky fingers and dirty diapers can change a couple forever.
