Tempting the Wolf

Black Hills Wolves, #13

A gunshot wound leads to a kidnapping which leads to so much more. This story just keeps building on itself until things just explode…..but in a good way. Life and death decisions need to be made. Someone may die. But, best of all, are the chances of new beginnings and life changes. These characters are not young sweet things but mature people with lives, hopes and failures. This makes them complex and easy to relate to. The world that they are in is one that is part of a series. Yet, each book stands alone and can be read without having read any of the previous books. This makes this series awesome because each story adds a little piece to the world but none contain the whole world. I loved the struggle on decisions that will change lives and that sometimes the man has to step back and let a woman take care of business.

Alanna is a single mother and when her son is shot, she knows she has to act fast. They are shifters and him being in a human hospital isn’t good. Unfortunately as she rushes to get him, she learns his doctor isn’t easily maneuvered. In fact, she can’t wipe his mind so she grabs him. This isn’t good because humans aren’t welcome in the pack. Now what?

Book Blurb for Tempting the Wolf

Tao Pack Tracker, Alanna Kemp possesses the rare gift of mind control. She allows nothing to stand in her way of keeping the existence of shifters a secret from humans—until she meets a sexy human doctor who stirs emotions long buried and puts her Wolf on a lethal edge.

Bastian Storm wants to start a new life in a new place where no one knows about his failures as a doctor. But when his past catches up to him, threatening the life of an innocent, he must place his trust in the hands of a woman with a deadly secret in order to save more lives than his own.

Stands Alone: YES
