This is another wonderful story about the sex call girls in the small town of Plum Orchard, GA. It’s full of fun, secrets and an unlikely romance. Friends are put to the test as reports descend upon the town when one of the Mag’s stumbles across a story that no one expected. As Marybell doesn’t date, Taggart goes for nondates and when they end up in bed, well things start becoming interesting. Though this is definitely a romance, I think the best thing about this book is how to shows what friendship truly is. Marybell doesn’t know how to act or what to do but her friends do. With interesting characters and small town prejudices this story moves along at a great pace and will definitely keep your interest. I loved this book and I love this series. Each book does stand alone but characters from all the books show up in every story which makes starting from the beginning more logical but not necessary.
Marybell has been hiding for years and has no desire for anyone to find her. Taggart is rebuilding his life. Neither knows the other influenced where they are now. Taggart is willing to share his life with Marybell and she’s not sure she wants to share the secrets she’s kept hidden. In fact, Marybell isn’t sure she can trust anyone with those secrets! As the romance Marybell not only doesn’t want but didn’t expect continues, outside forces come to Plum Orchard and they can expose her for who she really is….or at least who the media thinks she is. Can she run or will she finally be caught?
Shields up, sugar—things in Plum Orchard are about to get real.
Marybell Lyman is notorious for two things:
Her look. The wicked hairstyle, multiple piercings and practiced sneer that say: "Stay back—I bite."
Her voice. The syrupy lilt that's her bread and butter at Call Girls, the prim little town's flourishing phone-sex company.
Hunky handyman Taggart Hawthorn is mesmerized by the contradiction: such sweet tones inside such a spiky shell! He wants to know more about mysterious Marybell, to hear more of her sexy talk—all for himself.
But Tag's attentions, delicious as they are, have Marybell panicked. She's been hiding a long time. She's finally got a home, a job and friends she adores. She won't have it all snatched away by another stupid mistake—like falling in love. So when Marybell's past comes calling, she and the Call Girls will prove no one handles scandals like a Southern girl!
