Taking Chase

Chase Brothers, #2

“Taking Chase” is the second book in a series about the Chase brothers. Two notes: this book does stand alone and it was previously published but has been refreshed. That being said, I loved this book. The Chase family is awesome. It is close knit with a mother who rules the house. That does not mean that these men live at home but that their mother expects to see them every Sunday for dinner. She’s not the only outstanding character. Shane, her son, and Cassie are well written and extremely fun to read about. There are secrets that are hid and when exposed could cause Cassie to die. I’ve got to say, I loved all the interactions between all of the characters. This story was great and really showed the power of family. This is the perfect book for a day on the beach or for a lazy day at home.

The Story: Shane is a wonderful son and a good sheriff. He cares about people. He isn’t prefect though. Cassie isn’t sure what she is. She knows what she was but her life has really changed. Cassie is on the run but will Shane be the one to catch her? She’s attracted but she’s not sure she’s ready. He’s interested but not sure he’s going to be able to get close. How will this end?

Book Blurb for Taking Chase

Previously published; newly refreshed by author

The Chase boys. Ridiculously hot and notoriously single.

Sheriff Shane Chase is drawn to the new girl in town from the moment he lays eyes on her. Not only is she gorgeous, but years on the job have taught him to know when someone is hiding something. And Cassie Gambol is hiding something big. He’s willing to take it slow to find out her secrets, no matter how much he burns to make her his.

Cassie Gambol needs a fresh start, and she gets it by reinventing herself in the small town of Petal, Georgia—a far cry from her life as a surgeon back in LA. A new romance is the last thing on Cassie’s mind, but the impossibly hot town sheriff has her reconsidering her priorities.

But when Cassie and Shane come face-to-face with the reason Cassie’s on the run, only her determination and his instincts can keep her safe from the past—and keep their future from ending before it can even begin.
