Silver/Steel

Arcada

What a wonderful blend of paranormal characters and a magical town. While the town is primarily a wolf pack, there are others that live there but not everyone can come into the town. Dylan learns that when he attempts to enter but ends up miles away! However, even those in the pack aren’t all equal. There are bullies and those who feel left out and all kinds of range of emotions and abilities. There is also a society complete with rules and structure. This world is well developed and interesting. The characters have many layers too making them full of quirks and emotions. And, this is much more than just a love story. There is a rogue pack trying to take over Arcada and a demon influencing them! The romance though is very well written and full of feelings. It is a male/male romance with some BDSM elements. I really enjoyed this book. It is the second book in a series but it can be read without having read the first book. But, you’ll want to go back and read the first book to find out how a wolf shifter ends up with a vampire! Yeah, there is plenty going on with this series and none of it is exactly as you’d expect.

Dylan walks through people’s dreams searching for information to capture or kill his targets. He has 1000 to find before he is released from his commitment. His last target resides in Arcada, a closed magical town. To learn about it he’s visits Travis’s dreams. Soon, Dylan becomes attached to Travis. Travis isn’t too sure about his feelings though. However, their lives seem to be intertwined as things within the pack start getting interesting. Travis and his brother are attacked on their way home by rogue wolves! Dylan rushes to help but ends up wounded. Where are things going and will Dylan be able to complete his final mission?

When dream hunter Dylan Ryve spots a beautiful shapeshifter raising hell in a bar, he knows he wants the wild young man. But Travis Feris is more to Dylan than a few hot minutes outside in the snow; he's the assassin's ticket into the magical town of Arcada. He didn't plan to rescue the kid, but when he found the shifter being attacked, the opportunity to play hero was too good to pass up.

Through the solitude of a long winter night, Dylan walks in Travis's fevered dreams, learning about Arcada and the pack, and showing the shifter the man he'd been so very long ago. When morning comes, both men know their lives will be forever entwined.

From Dylan, Travis learns that he is a strong, valued member of the pack. The dreamwalker sees his own worth reflected back at him in the dark blue eyes of the wolf. Yet when Dylan has the chance to free himself from centuries of enslavement, can he betray the man he has come to love?
