A slightly different vampire story with a romantic theme as old as time. And, while the theme may be old, the story is anything but. I loved the characters. They had depth, a history and a reason for living. The secondary characters were unique and interesting……at times almost more interesting than the main characters. Though the story was set in Washington DC, there isn’t a real feel for the city. Part of the city is a decadent night club but it never said which part…..Foggy Bottom? Adams Morgan? NE? Also the Beltway was called Highway 495 which it is but no one calls it that except out of towners. Okay, back to the story….. I enjoyed it. The bad guy was one I suspected but a character that would be easily over looked. The ending was extremely well done. I liked this romance and would really like to see more of the secondary characters so maybe a sequel will be in the works.
