This is the third book in a series about the Mallory family. It’s not the first series that R. C. Ryan has set within this family and on their ranch. In fact, there are similarities with the plots yet each book is addicting and you’ll not want to put it down. The Mallory family is special in that it actually likes everyone in it and accepts everyone with love and respect. You really have to read about them to totally understand it. Reed Mallory is a cowboy through and through. It has some rough edges but a good heart. There were a time or two that he was almost too aggressive but I’m sure that he wasn’t really trying to force Ally into having sex but trying to convince her. Ally is an independent woman who is looking to connect with the only family she has left. She is still idealistic and feels a bit more naive than a woman who has been living on her own for years should be. Still these characters work well together. This is a sweet romance that almost feels old fashioned. (Kind of like Diana Palmer) I have to admit even though I feel like the plot lines are used over and over, I just can’t resist picking up an R.C.
Ryan book. It’s like a sweet guilty pleasure. Reed is a good solid romance that only leaves me one question; when will we get a book about his Uncle Colin? And, when we do, what long unsolved murder/death will be part of the plot? I told you they are addicting. You can start with Reed or start with Matt (the first book in this trio of brothers). No matter which you chose, you’ll enjoy it.
Allie has moved from Virginia to Montana to raise her son and get to know her uncle. She plans on opening a resale store and live above it. First though she’s living with her uncle who may be a bit grouchy but she’s sure that is because they are disturbing his solitude. Reed doesn’t know whose boy it is that has run right in front of him and into traffic. As he grabs the boy he looks around for his mother.
He doesn’t expect to see a stunning red head. It doesn’t take Reed long before he knows he wants to get to know Allie and her son better. His first priority should be his herd though, right?
A new beginning . . .
A fresh start. That's exactly what Ally Shaw needs and what she's found in Glacier Ridge, Montana. Creating a simpler life with her young son and reconnecting with her only remaining family-it's all part of Ally's plan to chase away the pain of her past. But when a dangerously irresistible cowboy rescues her little boy, Ally can't deny she's excited about what else the future might bring.
Reed Malloy was a wild horse who wouldn't be broken. Devoted to his work on the land at the expense of everything else, he'd never met a woman who could hold his interest . . . until Ally. And now, beautiful Ally and her fearless, freckled child have this cowboy wanting more. This isn't Ally's first time at the rodeo, though, and convincing her to trust him isn't easy. But there isn't anything he won't do to keep her safe . . . and make her his.
