Overdue For Pleasure

Mandy has a life she pretty much likes. Oh, she’d be happier if your live-in boyfriend, Martin would have sex more often than Tues, Fri and Sun but overall she’s fine. She works as a librarian with good co-workers and lives in a very nice place close to work. She shouldn’t complain but when she woke-up horny after a hot dream, she’s a bit miffed when Martin blew her off. It wasn’t the correct day or time!

Once Mandy is at work, a really handsome blue-eyed guy asks her to help him find a book in a dark corner of the library. While attracted to him, Mandy is at work. Still, it is a dark corner and she still is really horny so maybe no one will see as this guy makes a few moves on her.

They are interrupted by on of Mandy’s coworkers, Sean. Mandy hopes Sean didn’t see too much but is positive he had when he makes some suggestive remarks during their lunch break.

Trying to calm down, Mandy heads to the nearby park, only to meet up again with the good looking guy from the library. Once again, they are in a secluded area but this time the play doesn’t end until Mandy comes! Now, totally shook up, Mandy takes the afternoon to do some purchasing only to change her mind.

Heading home, Mandy is surprised to see Martin’s car but even more surprised to see a woman leaving their home! How dare Martin have someone on the side! Out he goes along with his stuff and the bed mattress.

James, the picky neighbor, comes to complain about the mattress in the front yard. Mandy may not really like James but she loves his dog. This makes a difference in a few days when Mandy needs to start looking for a new place to live.

Lots of guys and lots of sexual tension starts this contemporary erotic story. The guys are as different as you could make them from white and blue-eyed to as dark as you can be with everything in between. Each brings their own allure to the play and Mandy has a hard time saying no.

I really liked the character of Mandy. She has a job that she is good at and likes. She is realistic in what she can afford with the pay from that job which means she has to leave an area that she loves to look for an apartment that she won’t. Mandy acknowledges her sexual desires and wants to explore different facets. She’s also aware that there are public decency laws and she will have to work with Sean regardless of what they do on their own time. Mandy also dreams of marriage and a family. She’s more than a horny woman, she is a complex modern working woman.

The men range from a character that you don’t even get to know his name until almost the end of the story to a long time friend to a complex neighbor. Some of the male characters have a lot of depth while others are just there. Still, they all have their uses and Mandy knows which ones to pay attention too.

Sexual scenes run the gambit. There is everything from a little exposure on a public bus turning on a guy with a girlfriend to a threesome at work to a little masturbation. If you can think of a sexual encounter, you might well find it in this story. That’s not to say that Mandy is having sex on every surface she can find but that she’s exploring options, even ones she had never considered, and we’re allowed to go along for the experience.

This story isn’t very long and you should be able to read it in an afternoon. Just make sure that you’re prepared for the lusty feelings that you will probably have when reading. Reading this on your lunch break may not be a good idea unless you have a secluded park area like Mandy.

I really enjoyed this quickie for so many reasons or perhaps I just envied Mandy. Regardless, take a moment out of your busy life and have fun with Mandy and the guys. You won’t regret it.

Book Blurb for Overdue For Pleasure

Mandy is content with her job as a librarian, her longtime boyfriend, Martin, and the lovely home they share. So what if their sex life is vanilla? She's not the wild type anyway.

But when she wakes up one morning—unsatisfied—from an erotic dream starring her favorite movie star, Mandy starts to crave sexual adventure in real life. Too bad Martin won't oblige, because it's not Tuesday or Friday. Then Mandy finds out what Martin's been doing the other days of the week—or rather, who. And suddenly she needs to prove to herself that she's not boring in bed.

Fortunately, there is no shortage of smoking-hot men willing to help her on her sensual quest: a nameless library patron who could be Brad Pitt's twin, a coworker she suddenly sees in a different light, and the neighbor who usually rubs her the wrong way wants to show her he can rub her the oh-so-right way, too! Lucky for Mandy, her lovers are more than willing to share...
