Shaughnessy Brothers: Band on the Run, #3

I really loved this book. It had a little bit of everything in it from a shocking wedding to supportive friends to mistaken first impressions. As the book progressed, I got so wrapped up in it I couldn’t bare to put it down. Julian is more than just a self-centered rock star, though he is that. He grapples with self-worth and who he is. It’s not all angst as he figures out what next and his eyes are opened to those around him. Charlotte is a do gooder who wants to save the world. However, she also recognizes that each person much make their own decisions, good or bad. These two characters don’t seem as if they would match but they do beautifully. Julian’s band, Shaughnessy does make several appearances and do play a major role in this story. If you haven’t read the other stories about them, you might want to though it is not necessary to enjoy this story. You will fall in love with all of these characters and this story. This is just an awesome book that should be on everyone’s must read list.

When Julian’s long time girlfriend is caught cheating on him, he breaks up with her in a way no one will forget. Then, he takes off on a 3 month long trip to decide his future. His decisions will impact more than him which quickly comes to light. Charlotte is a social worker who helps the homeless find jobs and get back on their feet. When the rumpled man in front of her can’t find his wallet, she pays for his order at the coffee shop. Even though he tries to explain that he has the money and he truly just left his wallet at home, she doesn’t believe him. Charlotte intrigues Julian. As Julian reinvents himself, what role will Charlotte play, if any?
