No Room for Error

A Lexi Carmichael Mystery, #7

More adventures with my favorite geek, Lexi and as always she never fails to deliver. While Lexi does have lots of adventure in this story, even drawing on information from her time with the Navy SEALS, this story also gives more insight on mysterious Slash. I’m not sure which is more interesting. This story is very fast paced with short chapters but so very interesting. There are quite a few twists that I didn’t see coming and the ending was a total surprise. And, while Lexi and Slash are very technology oriented, Lexi has to make do with no technology to help her stay alive. This caused some major character growth which was amazing. Secondary characters were awesome especially Basia. I just loved this story and the warm friendships. Yes, there is a bit of violence but not enough to worry about. And, it seems that Lexi and Slash are getting more serious and they aren’t the only ones. Let your intergeek loose and join Lexi on her death defying adventures!

Lexi has been asked to deliver a top secret, technology changing chip to Indonesia. It sounds easy but nothing ever is when Lexi is involved. It’s going to take a lot of luck for Lexi to stay safe. Slash will give her all the help he can as will the twins but technology doesn’t always work. Can she make it with the chip or will she have to make choices?

Trouble follows me, Lexi Carmichael, like a little black cloud. At least according to my boyfriend, Slash: brilliant hacker, national treasure and vault of secrets. Even I have to admit he could be right.

After a series of high-profile cases at my cyberintelligence firm, I was looking forward to a simple job. All I had to do was personally deliver a revolutionary microchip to a manufacturing plant in Indonesia. Easy, right? Wrong.

Someone else wants the design and is willing to kill to get it. A failed hijacking attempt lands me, my best friend Basia and our boss, Finn, in the middle of the jungle. Our mission is clear: protect the microchip design from the hijackers on our tail...and survive. But how can a geek girl like me survive without access to my beloved technology?

I’m about to find out. And this time, there’s no room for error.
