Moonlight & Mechanicals

The Gaslight Chronicles, #4

Perfect. Absolutely perfect. I started this story and hated to put it down even for a second. There is some much going on, per usual for the Hadrian family. I was swept into the chaos and enjoyed every minute of it. From attending social events with the upper crust to visiting the slums of London, each scene came alive and not only kept my interest but moved the story forward. The characters from Connor’s infatuation with Wink to Wink’s love of her family to Liam dreading meeting up with his, kept me emotionally tied with each and kept me cheering for a spectacular ending.

Moonlight and Mechanicals is part of an awesome steampunk series by Cindy Spencer Pape. The world she has created is original and meshes real Victorian England with paranormal elements in such a way as they feel real and possible. Though this is not the first book in the series, it is possible to read, enjoy and fall in love with it with this story. The opening pages give a brief summary of some of the backstory that you will need.

Wink is a very unique female. She’s smart and loves to work with anything mechanical. Though she doesn’t recognize it, she’s also pretty. She’s drawn the attention of her “brother’s” best friend and fellow knight, Connor. But, it’s Liam that Wink has been interested in since she was 15. Liam is an Irish werewolf constable. He plans to never marry due to his past. When things become life and death, will everyone put their feelings aside for the good of England? And, will Liam realize that Wink is all grown up with ideas of her own concerning him?
