Family drama, desperation, hot sex and bully riding are some of the things that will draw you into this story and keep you there. I never thought I’d want to read about an Italian cowboy, and there’s not just one but there is two in this story and both will melt your heart. However, don’t expect your typical cowboy as these guys grew up in Italy and learned about olive oil, not cows! This also causes a clash in cultures when the older one, Marco, goes after American cowgirl, Natalie. Sparks will fly, in and out of the bedroom, as these two try to figure out what exactly they want. Marco’s smooth lines and wealth may not sway a woman with a dream.
Natalie is following the professional bull riding circuit to pick up tips. She plans on trying out for the women’s circuit in about 8 weeks and needs all the help she can get. Her father recently died leaving her next to nothing and Natalie feels guilty that she had no idea that the family ranch was so far in debt. She also blames herself for his death. Now, in his memory she plans on living his dream of her being a bull rider. Her long blond hair attracts Italian bull rider Marco’s attention causing him to jump in the stands to ask her out for dinner. Figuring a free meal is saving money plus she can ask him all kinds of questions about bull riding, Natalie accepts. However, the evening doesn’t end how she expects. Of course, it doesn’t end how Marco hoped either which is testing his will power and all the good manners his mother taught him. Marco wants nothing more than to keep Natalie safe and with him. Natalie needs her independence and plans on keeping it. Is there room for a compromise?
This is the third book in a series but you don’t need to read the first two books to thoroughly enjoy this one. The characters from the first two books are in this one which is great for the fans of this series. Expect to see hot cowboys, lots of bull riding, sizzling sex and family relations that aren’t always the norm. I absolutely love this series and this book is a great addition to it, even though I couldn’t figure out how Ms Carr was going to make me fall in love with an Italian cowboy, she not only did but did it well.
Marco D’Allesandro has a destiny he wants no part of—running his family’s Italian olive oil empire. Against his family’s wishes, he moved to America to pursue his dream of becoming a professional bull rider and is at the pinnacle of his career, but his family wants him home. Things only get more complicated when he meets Natalie Webster, a blonde-haired, blue-eyed angel who’s got problems of her own.
Their chemistry is explosive from the beginning, and both find themselves in a situation they never thought they would—they’re falling in love. Natalie has had a rough time of it lately, and it’s tempting to let naturally protective Marco take care of her. Both in and out of bed. Marco discovers he relishes the role and wants to keep Natalie close. Really close.
But Natalie’s situation in life and Marco’s continued battle with his family threaten to tear them apart. Neither of them was looking for forever, but they may have found their true destiny in each other.
