As a single book, "Mistletoe Miracles" is just a cover for three fantastic stories set in the same basic location during the same time period. It’s quite easy to keep the stories separate and to follow each story line but it’s extremely hard to pick a favorite couple, so don’t. Each couple has their own very unique story and their own reason to being where they are. Griffin has always lived on the Maverick Ranch as did several generations before him. Jax is hiding out in a cabin that his family owns and doesn’t want anything to do with anyone. Jamie teaches at the local school and just wants a place to belong. They have nothing in common but they all seem to find love when a rich, pregnant horse rancher needs to find a baby daddy, a young woman is fleeing a violent boyfriend and a soldier gets in a car accident landing in Jamie’s bed. This book is fun, fast paced and heart warming. I totally loved it and hated that it ended.
The Story: Griff knows that if he doesn’t find some money soon he’s going to lose the ranch that he was raised on. He’s out of options and in desperation turns to a couple of older women to ask for their help to find a rich bride. It’s a long shot but he doesn’t know what else to do. Jax has been holed up in his family’s cabin for a couple of years and has no plans of leaving. While out looking at the stars, he sees a car crash. Racing down the mountain, he arrives to see the driver taken away by ambulance. He also notices a young pup left behind. Could it be the driver’s? Jamie has told everyone she is married even though she’s not. Her husband supposedly works for the government so when a soldier with the last name of Johnson shows up confused, everyone assumes it’s Jamie’s husband and takes him to her house. Jamie is shocked to find him. Now what should she do?
A small-town Texas Christmas story, where hearts are lost, love is found, and family always brings you back home.
Griffin Holloway is desperate: the Maverick Ranch has been in his family for generations, but lately, it’s a money pit. He’d sooner marry one of his horses than sell the ranch. Marriage, though, could be a solution. If he can woo a wealthy bride, he might save the ranch—just in time for Christmas.
Jaxon O’Grady likes his solitude just fine, thank you very much. But when a car accident brings the unexpected to his door, he realizes just how much one person can need another.
Crossroads is the perfect place for Jamie Johnson: avoiding nosy questions about why she’s single, she’s happy to keep to her lakeside home. So she’s baffled when she gets the strangest Christmas present of all, in the form of a Mr. Johnson, asleep on her sofa. Who is he, and why does everyone think he’s her husband?
In this uplifting novel, three unlikely couples discover just what Crossroads, Texas, can offer: romance, belonging, and plenty of Christmas spirit.
