This contemporary western romance will have you traveling from big business to out riding the range. I enjoyed my visit to the Mallory ranch and the small town it is located outside of. The family dynamics of the Mallory’s is outstanding and interesting. Each family member is different and has their own personality. Matt comes across as a loving, competent man but by the end of the man he seems to become larger than life and almost unbelievable. Vanessa is a strong woman who seems to be a daddy’s girl. She adapts well to ranch life. It’s as if she hadn’t grown up in Chicago. And, even though this story does go way over the top, it’s fun to read. There is a mystery about the death of Matt’s parents which comes up but isn’t really explored, yet. Plus Matt has two younger brothers and a single uncle giving several possibilities for more books. This book is a nice sweet romance that brings the west to life.
Vanessa has come to the Mallory ranch to get their influence behind some animal rights projects she has going. Grace Mallory is a well known photographer of wild horses and surely she would want to preserve their lives. Unfortunately, Grace is out on a photography trip when Vanessa arrives and she’s taken to see Grace’s grandson, Matt. Matt has just returned from a business trip to Italy and is relaxing in a favorite remote cabin. He agrees to see Vanessa thinking it will only be a couple of hours but due to a storm those couple of hours turn into overnight. Unable to resist, they share a kiss which leaves them wanting more. With two very different life styles, can they get the more they both desire?
A MALLOYS OF MONTANA NOVEL
Wild Horses Couldn't Drag Him Away From Her
Raised beneath the big Montana sky, Matt Malloy was never meant to be a jet-setting businessman. But he'll do anything to protect the family ranch he shares with his brothers. Coming home after a two-week trip to Italy, Matt wants nothing more than to shed his suit and tie for a well-worn pair of jeans and ride his horse up to the cabin for some alone time. The last thing he needs is a big-city lawyer invading his privacy-even if she is the most beautiful woman he's ever seen . . .
Vanessa Kettering has devoted her life to her work. As a passionate animal rights defender, she doesn't have room for anything else. But from the moment she meets Matt, she's taken with this rugged cowboy's lazy smile and tender touch. When a raging storm traps them inside his cabin for the night, one steamy kiss leads to another, sweeping them away with a force that's as wild and untamed as the land he loves. But when the morning light comes, will she lose her heart?
