Love Somebody Like You

Caribou Crossing Romances, #6

This story definitely stands alone and is definitely a story that any contemporary western romance lover wants to read. The story is sweet and sexy as Sally and Ben work through what they really want in life. The characters evolve as the story progresses and their lives change as well. It was interesting that most of this story is from the man’s point of view which was an interesting change which I loved. The story flowed beautifully and was so realistic. Totally awesome! Though serious subjects were involved, it did not drag the story down. It stayed optimistic. Readers of the series will enjoy seeing characters from previous books playing a part in this one but truly if you haven’t read any of the other books, you will thoroughly enjoy this story. I can’t recommend this story enough!

Sally lives alone on her ranch trying to make enough to pay her bills. Her husband died young, 3 years prior. Sally is only in her 30’s. When her husband died Sally discovered how shaky their business was financially. Now, she works much longer and harder than she should to try to make a go of it. Ben knew Sally before she married, when she competed in the rodeo. Sally’s sister asked him to stop by and it was no hardship to do so. Ben desired Sally since he met her. He is highly shocked though when he sees her again. She is no longer the friendly, vibrant woman he knew. What happened? And, how can he help?

With its breathtaking terrain and welcoming people, the Western town of Caribou Crossing is the perfect place for a heart to heal, and for love to blossom once more…

Since the death of her husband three years ago, young widow Sally Ryland has kept to herself and focused on her struggling business, Ryland Riding. Folks assume she’s still grieving, because Sally has never shared the truth about her abusive marriage, or the trust issues that remain. But when a sexy rodeo rider from her past turns up for a visit, he’s a reminder of the feisty woman she once was—and maybe still could be…

Ben Traynor was always attracted to Sally, but he didn’t move fast enough. Now what Sally needs is patience and gentleness. With an injury keeping him from his next rodeo, Ben has the perfect excuse to stick around and help with her chores—and her healing. And as Sally finds the courage to face her demons and open her heart again, she’ll have to decide if what she has with Ben is more than safety, gratitude, and short-term passion, but a forever love…
