Love in the Morning

Salt Box Trilogy, #2

This was a fun book to read. I loved the comedy throughout it and the situations that seemed to naturally occur. The characters were perfect, not to say they didn’t have flaws but to say that their roles were perfect for this story. Lizzy just seems to stumble along and falls into the right place at the right time and goes with the flow. Clark looks for and takes advantages of whatever he can to get ahead. Together, they have an idea of where they are going but not sure if they should take the path they see or if they should even consider going there. This book is truly fun and I enjoyed every minute of it. Though this is the second book in this series, don’t let it stop you from grabbing this book. It definitely stands alone and can be read without having read the previous book. I don’t think I can express how much I enjoyed this story and how much I’d love to visit Salt Box again.

Book Blurb for Love in the Morning

The reality show, Lovely Ladies of L.A., should have launched Lizzy Apodaca’s catering company into solvency. Instead, when her carefully prepared appetizers mysteriously gave the cast on-camera food poisoning, she lost everything.

To make matters worse, her car breaks down in Salt Box, Colorado, a town not much bigger than a salt shaker. But maybe her luck is changing—the handsome owner of Praeger House, the town’s premier hotel, needs a kitchen assistant.

Clark Denham realizes his diamond in the rough is a polished gem when Lizzy steps up to save the hotel’s breakfast buffet after his temperamental head chef quits. It isn’t long before she’s winning his heart as smoothly and efficiently as she runs his kitchen.
