Light After Dark

A Gansett Island Novel, #16

New family, new friends and new beginnings are all part of this story. This amazing romance is

more than just about romance. It is about relationships, life changes and second chances.

Mallory is dealing with being laid off a job she’s had for years. Quinn retired from the military

family is a large part of this story, and all the stories by Ms. Force set on Gansett Island. This

earlier than he planned. Neither is looking for love, yet, anything is possible. The big McCarthy

book is part of that series but can still be enjoyed without having read all of the series. The

epilogue though is about a different couple and will have readers of the series jumping for joy. I

loved this book for so many reasons. It makes you feel as if you are part of what is going on. It

has characters that you love and want to know more about. It’s heartwarming and fun. It’s just a

really good book that you can’t help but enjoy.

Mallory has had a lot of changes in her life this year; her mother died, she met her father for the

first time, learned she has a large family and was laid off from her longtime job. She’s not sure

what is next and knows she needs time to figure it out. She also realizes that she needs to get her

priorities straight. Maybe spending the summer on Gansett Island will help and when Mallory is

offered a summer job, she grabs it. She’s also offered a full time job but she’s not as sure she

wants it. The man who offered it is interested in more than just a working relationship. Does

she dare explore this interest?
