This is the first book of a new trilogy by Maya Banks and it looks to be a great start to a new series. The characters are real and while BDSM is a central theme, the scenes are not extreme. It’s extremely easy to start reading and forget to stop…….I know, who needs sleep. But, as usual, Ms Banks’s story is more than just about hot sex with alpha men, it’s about love, trust, caring and family. Shifting relationship roles will cause pain and extreme love. In the end though, it’s all about trust and sometimes a dominant may find himself on his knees! Fans of Ms Banks’s other series will see some well loved characters showing up in this story, though they are definitely secondary characters. Love, sex, hope and moving on are all mixed up to make an awesome and enjoyable story that I really loved. Now, to wait until the next one in this terrific new trilogy.
Dash loved his best friend’s wife, Joss but would never act on that while Carson was alive. Joss loved Carson with her whole heart even though he couldn’t give her everything she needed. Now, Carson has been dead for 3 years and Joss is trying to move on. Dash is shocked to find her at the BDSM club, The House and decides that no one other than him is going to ever touch her, much less claim her. But, what to do about their memories of Carson? Can they both move on or will he always be the ghost in their relationship?
THE FIRST BOOK OF THE SURRENDER TRILOGY
In her sensational Breathless Trilogy, #1 New York Times bestselling author Maya Banks tested the boundaries of desire. In her new trilogy, there’s only one thing left to do: cross them. And never have the consequences of erotic exploration been so irresistibly inviting, so shockingly intimate, and so totally unexpected?

Lonely, searching for an outlet for her grief and wanting only a brief taste of the perfection she once enjoyed, she seeks what she’s looking for at an exclusive club that caters to people indulging in their most hedonistic fantasies. She never imagined that what she’d find would be the one man who’s long been a source of comfort?and secret longing. Her husband’s best friend.

And so he’s waited in the wings, offering Joss unconditional support and comfort as she works past her grief, hoping for the day when he can offer her more.
When he finds her in a club devoted to the darker edges of desire, he’s furious because he thinks she has no idea what she’s getting herself into. Until she explains in detail what it is she wants. What she needs. As realization sets in, he is gripped by fierce, unwavering determination. If she wants dominance, he is the only man who will introduce her to that world. He is the only man who will touch her, cherish her?love her. And the only man she’ll ever submit to.
