Kissin' Tell

Rough Riders, Book 13

The 13th book of Lorelei James’ Rough Riders is a wonderful example of how she takes complex characters and not only makes you love them but makes them real and believable. The two main characters in the book, Georgia and Tell, have suffered the loss of a sibling and have had their parent’s divorce after it. Each deals with these life blows differently and yet each feels the attraction towards the other that they had in high school, only now with more grown up desires. As they figure out where they are going in life and where their relationship is heading, every day stresses and family pressures continue to shape their directions.

I found myself cheering, crying and laughing as I became entangled in this relationship. Ms. James’ has a way of bringing her books to life which has me reading them as fast as I can; and then, going back and rereading them slower so I find all the wonderful details that I may have missed in that first frantic reading. Kissin’ Tell will have you looking at things differently and may give you some great ideas to try out with a significant.

Whether you’re a longtime fan or have never read one of Ms. James’ books, you’ll enjoy this one even though it’s well into the series. A word of warning though, you may find yourself wanting to read this series from the beginning if you haven’t already.

She once led him around by a string. Now he's the one holding the reins.

Georgia Hotchkiss swore wild horses couldn’t drag her back to Sundance, Wyoming. So it’s ironic she’s forced to take a rodeo PR job in her former hometown—right before her ten-year class reunion. The only thing worse than facing her cheating ex-husband and his pregnant wife? Showing up to the reunion without a date. Fate smiles on her when she runs into her former classmate and current cowboy hottie Tell McKay. With his infectious smile and fun-loving ways—not to mention his banging body—he’s the perfect solution to her problem.

Tell McKay had it so bad for Hot Lips Hotchkiss during high school that he let her run roughshod over him. But he is no longer that easily manipulated boy—these days he’s earned a reputation with the ladies that lives up to the McKay last name. He agrees to escort her to the reunion with one stipulation; that Georgia proves she has left behind the goody-goody cheerleader of the past—by sharing his bed.

Their sexual chemistry flashes so bright, they barely notice that the reunion has come and gone, and now they’re tangled up in another dreaded “R” word—relationship. But if Tell wants to get the girl this go-around, he’ll have to come up with a whole new set of knots to tie up her heartstrings.
