King Cobra

Hot Rods, Book 1

Emotionally gripping and heart wrenching are only two elements that will have you glued to this story of sexual awareness and life changing events. The frustration of not knowing what to do screams off the page. The close family ties that no one wants to break are visible and viable. Yet, the yearning for what should be impossible is there driving the characters to sometimes do some stupid stuff. There is plenty of sex throughout the story but expect most of it to be male on male with a few scenes with more than two participants; one even has a woman in it. Even though male on male combinations aren’t my favorite, this story had me unable to put it down and kept my interest from beginning to end. I can’t wait for the next book to come out.

This is the fantastic first story of a new series that is loosely spun off a previous series by Jayne Rylon, Powertools. You don’t have to have read Powertools to thoroughly enjoy this series/story but some of the characters in Powertools do show up in this story.

Eli and his best friend, Alanso witnessed the unusual relationship Eli’s cousin and his construction crew have with each other. It gave birth to ideas neither had wanted to face and ones that are driving Eli crazy and possibly driving Alanso away from the only family he’s had. Something has to change before there is no turning back but once the change is made, there will be no turning back. Does Eli dare to go after his best friend sexually? What will their makeshift family say?

Book Blurb for King Cobra

Nothing’s sexier than seven men with hot rods.

After Eli’s mother died, his father honored her life’s mission as a social worker by taking in several kids from the wrong side of the tracks. Not all of them stuck, but those who did became Eli’s quasi family.

Their bonds, forged in fires set by their personal demons, are unbreakable—or so Eli wants to believe. Especially since he and Alanso, his best friend and head mechanic, witnessed the overpowering allure of polyamory while visiting the Powertools crew.

Much as Eli would like to deepen the relationships among his foster brothers and sister in the Hot Rods Restoration Team, he’s hesitant to risk everything on a quick romp behind a stack of tires.

But when Eli catches Alanso exploring their mutual fantasy at a known hookup spot in a public park, all bets are off. And Eli must decide if it’s time to jump in full throttle—and trust his instincts to guide him through the night. If the pair can dodge the potholes in their own relationship, maybe they can race together toward the unconventional arrangement with Mustang Sally they both desire.

Warning: Fasten your seatbelts, this is going to be a wild (and naughty) ride!
