Welcome to the Abbott family. It’s big (10 children), noisy and lots of fun. This book is part of a series but each book can stand alone. However, each is so wonderful that you really should just start at the beginning. That said, don’t let not having read a book or two stop you from reading this one. It tackles some real world problems like military deaths, unexpected pregnancies and grief. It also has some great humor like a small town store starting a sex toy section. The story is as complex as any large family and the emotions come flying off the page and wraps themselves around your heart. Gavin struggles with his brother’s death and his place in life. Ella knows what she wants but isn’t sure she’s going to get it. Together, they struggle to figure out how to have a relationship. I have to admit that I love this family and love their stories. As each one comes out, it builds on the previous ones yet can stand alone. It’s like having a family reunion. Ms Force is a very talented story teller and you can’t help but to fall in love with her works. I can’t wait to read her books!
Ella has secretly been in love with Gavin for years but he’s ignored her for most of those years. At her sister’s wedding they did share a kiss but then Gavin quickly removed himself. Ella isn’t sure what is going on with him. However, when she gets a phone call from a local biker bar, Ella doesn’t hesitate to go pick Gavin up. This night will change their relationship for ever but, will it be for the good or the bad?
The new Green Mountain Romance from the New York Times bestselling author of And I Love Her.
Ella Abbott has long been secretly in love with Gavin Guthrie. A few recent encounters have only added to her infatuation, especially the kiss they shared at her sister’s wedding. It doesn’t matter to Ella that Gavin is in a bad place. He says there’s no hope for a future with him, that he has nothing to offer her. But all Ella cares about is the love she feels.
It’s been seven long years since Gavin lost his brother. He’d kept himself under control and moving forward until his brother’s beloved dog died and his brother’s widow re-married. Since then, he’s been drinking, fighting, and even getting arrested. It seems the only time his demons leave him alone is when Ella is around.
Gavin knows it wouldn’t be fair to drag Ella into his darkness, but when she inserts herself into his life, what choice does he have but to allow her to soothe his aching heart?
