Hot guys and sexy women make this book almost too hot to handle. And, the sexy women aren’t the air heads that the men think they are!
This is a terrific contemporary romance where there is more than meets the eye. Besides Valentine/Valerie having two personas, there is something strange going on with the lingerie show. Looking too close may be deadly as one model already found out. Or, is it just a kook who doesn’t like sexy women modeling almost nude? Regardless, as this show goes on, the heat turns up. There is a hands-off policy but temptation may break that one.
I quickly fell in love with the well developed characters and had the question of why the murder, and by whom, soon became a real puzzle. The answer was not exactly what I was expecting. This book is part of a series and the characters are all well known to those who read Ms. Martin’s books. But, this book does stand alone and the characters will quickly make you a fan. Don’t be surprised when you go looking for more.
The last thing Ethan wants to do is protect a bunch of women whose focus on life is beauty and fashion. Really, there are totally more important things. However, Valentine does spark his interest but he’s not going there. He’s already been burnt once and he doesn’t want to get burnt again. Valentine feels the same spark. That doesn’t mean that they can act on it though. That would be totally against company policy! But when Ethan learns that Valentine is just a stage name for a hard working student, and she’s friends with his cousin’s wife, things get a bit more complicated.
A bodyguard, a bounty hunter, a P.I.--the men of Brodie Operations Security Service, Inc. are down for the job. . .
Sinners, whores, and sluts beware--your time is at hand: a faceless menace is threatening lingerie models on a cross country tour, and Ethan Brodie is there to defend and protect.
Ethan's learned the hard way that beauty is no substitute for character. So even though Valentine Hart is one of the most breathtaking women he's ever seen, he's keeping his hands off and his eyes open. Or that's what he tells himself.
Then one of the models is murdered, and the closer Ethan gets to the answers, the closer he finds himself to Valentine--and the hotter the pressure feels. There's more to Val--more to the other girls--than he could have guessed. But one is keeping a secret that could kill them all.
