Dreams about a carrier and about love are the focal points of this heart-warming Christmas story that is good for any time of year. Megan and Ryan have known what they want to do with their lives; Megan has always wanted to be a Mountie while Ryan is a talented sculptor. They love and support each other but Megan is assigned in the artic while Ryan has spent the last few years raising his younger siblings after their parents’ unexpected deaths. Occasional visits and skyping isn’t enough anymore. On Christmas morning each has a surprise for the other to fix this problem, or will it?
Leah Braemel has the talent to bring her characters alive and her settings real. This story is no different. From mischievous little boys to hot sex, you’re along for the ride. And, talking about rides, the subtle humor that comes out after a car crash is perfect. For such a short story, around 90 pages, I got a big story that felt at least twice as long as it is. The only thing bad about the story was it finished before I was ready for it to end. Still, with all the characters that were introduced, maybe, if we’re real good and beg really well, she’ll write some more about this great town and the people in it.
Ryan Porter is a sculptor, and beneath his callused hands, even the most rigid metals bend to his will. So, too, does his girlfriend Megan—a confident, strong woman who delights in submitting to Ryan's dominance in the bedroom.
Megan is a Mountie, and she's spent the past few years in the Arctic following her career dreams. Family obligations kept Ryan at home, but their love survived the distance thanks to several hot visits. A Mountie always gets her man, and Megan is bound and determined to keep Ryan.
Now Megan's with Ryan for the holidays…but how long will this visit last? She's always been willing to do anything Ryan desires, but will he finally tell her that all he needs for Christmas is her?
