Homecoming

A Boys of Fall Novel, #3

This is the third book in this series and it’s just as good as the first two! BUT, you don’t have to read the first two to thoroughly and completely enjoy this story. The characters from the first two books are in this one but this story is about Sam and Jen, not their friends. The romance is this story is stellar. It has bumps and turns and things aren’t always easy but it also has compromises and a willingness to change.

It also has strong friends and family themes. I found it heartwarming and a book that shows all the

aspects of small town living…..even the everyone knowing everyone else’s business. The characters are real, the problems reflect today and the solutions are believable. I found that I couldn’t put this book down and when I was finished, all I could do is sigh. It was perfect. I’m not sure if we’re ever going to visit this unique New Hampshire town again but just knowing that it is there is enough. I may not be a football fan but I’m sure a fan of Stewart Mills!

Sam never wanted to return to his hometown of Stewart Mills and he wouldn’t except for Coach. Coach

was the father he always wanted and Coach helped him get his life together. For Coach, Sam would return but he was leaving as soon as he could. Jen can’t forget that one night with Sam and tries to measure each man she meets with him. They all fail. She doesn’t know what to do as she knows Sam is

not coming back. But, when he does to fill in for Coach, can she have a no strings affair or will her heart be broken once again?

The New York Times bestselling author of Defending Hearts returns to small-town New Hampshire where a substitute football coach and a guidance counselor tackle love.

They were the golden boys of fall: Stewart Mills High School’s legendary championship football team. Fourteen years later, they’re back to relive their glory, save the team—and find themselves again . . .

Sam Leavitt has returned home to Stewart Mills with one goal: to fill in for Coach McDonnell and lead the high school football team to the championship. He doesn’t have time for distractions or commitments—but he’s unable to resist falling for the sexy guidance counselor he shared a hot night with months ago.

Jen Cooper knows what she’s looking for long-term, and it’s not Sam—even though the night they shared was explosive. Now, with Sam back in town and working by her side, picking up where they left off is too great a temptation to resist. But before long their fun fling is looking like a future together. And as the championship approaches, Sam is faced with a big decision that will either break them apart—or help them find their way home.
