Eli York works at his family’s gym but tonight he’s out with his sister, Billie and his identical twin brother, Finn. Or at least, Eli and Finn were identical until Finn was changed into a werewolf, as was Billie. They changed after they found their mates who happened to be werewolves. Now, the women, Billie and Finn’s mate, Jocelyn are trying to hook Eli up at the Wulf’s Den. Drawing his eye is a beautiful tall blond female werewolf surrounded by 6 very large muscular male werewolves. As they come over where Eli and his family are sitting, Eli can’t help but to be aroused which sucks seeing all the weres can smell it including his siblings and the female he’s interested in.
Saskia has been waiting for hundreds of years to fulfill her destiny and that of her guard. They are looking for the foretold one who will be able to lead all of the packs. They are to guard her and keep her safe. In a vision, Saskia has seen herself with Eli as going towards him for answers makes sense. Though she can smell his arousal, Saskia usually has no use for humans. She prefers werewolves but she’s also careful not to be mated. She’s dedicated to her mission. So, when her vision has her in bed with Eli, she’s a little concerned but hopes that it only means that she’s in for a little fun with him!
This was a fun short book that had lots of action and a cute love story. The book is very fast paced and before you know it, it’s over and you’re looking for more. It appears to be apart of a series of stories as it would only make sense that Billie and Finn had a story as well as the foretold one. Still, even coming in the middle of a series, I thoroughly enjoyed this story. You’re left with a cliffhanger and a desire to see what happens as the bad guy is still around. Besides there are a lot more hunky werewolves needing mates with Saskia’s 6 guards added to the mix!
The characters in this story were very interconnected. It wasn’t just a story about Eli and Saskia but one about a group with Eli and Saskia as the primary lead characters. This gave a very well rounded feel to the story and further gave the impression that it was indeed part of a larger connected story. Though none of the characters had a real detailed history, I’m sure that it becomes clearer as you read more books. There is enough information on the main characters to make them stand out and be likeable as well as enough information on the secondary characters to understand their motives.
If you’re looking for a fun book that won’t take long to read, this may be the one for you. It has lots of elements packed into very few pages but beware, it may leave you wanting more.
Eli vowed he would never tie himself to one woman. But when he sees a lone werewolf female at Wulf's Den with six large male werewolves at her back, he finds himself instantly attracted to her.
Saskia and her brothers-in-arms have come to Wulf's Den in search of the foretold one, the one they have trained most of their long lives to protect. What she didn't expect was to have one of her visions while there. Or to see that she and the male mortal who looks at her with hunger in his eyes will eventually end up in bed together.
As Eli and Saskia try to sort through the feelings of an unexpected mating, a new enemy rises to threaten Roxie in her position as the foretold one. An enemy that could end their mating prematurely.
