This may be the final book in Alyssa Day’s Warriors of Poseidon series but don’t let that stop you from picking up this absolutely wonderful book. Each book can be read without having read the others and this one is no exception. Very quickly you are immersed into a magical and mythical world as Alaric tries to save Atlantis while fighting his growing attraction to Quinn. Demons, vampires, shifters, and a quirky portal as well as the rest of the warriors of Poseidon are some of the characters who influence Alaric and Quinn. Touches of humor are intertwined throughout this story full of fights and romance enhancing it so you can’t bear to up it down. This action packed book blends romance and paranormal perfectly and will have you wanting to read the previous books in this series.
Alaric is the High Priest to the god Poseidon. To keep his magic, he must stay celibate according to the elders. But Quinn, the human rebel leader, is tempting him like he has never been tempted before. Alaric is torn between his duty to Poseidon and Atlantis and his desire for Quinn. He’s ready to turn his back on his people for Quinn when he’s told that having sex won’t cause him to lose his powers. Does he dare take that chance? Will Quinn even let him? When Quinn is kidnapped, it may not even matter as Alaric’s rage may just destroy the world.
One last word, really, this book is great and really, you don’t have to have read any other book in this series. I’m not even into mythology and I loved this story!
As a war wages between the immortals of Atlantis and those of the vampire realm, a Poseidon warrior fights to save his world—and the woman he loves. And no risk is too great.
The desires of a high priest.
Alaric, Poseidon’s High Priest, has made a vow to Quinn, the woman he loves and the leader of the Resistance: to save her friend Jack before his last bit of humanity has been drained. Should Alaric succeed, there’s one intimate danger: he may lose Quinn to the love of the man whose life he saved. But damn Atlantis to the nine hells, he’s willing to put Quinn’s wishes first, regardless of the consequences.
The warning of a threat reborn.
The final jewel of Poseidon’s trident has turned up in the hands of mysterious Ptolemy Reborn, who claims to be descended from Atlantean royalty. He’s about to reveal to the world that Atlantis is real, positioning himself as king. But this magical terrorist is bent on chaos. The only warrior who can stop him is following his own path, driven by the even more powerful force of love. Atlantean powers over the sea could prove just as cataclysmic—for Quinn’s love, Alaric might drown the entire world.
