This story is super short. In fact, it felt as if I were reading a couple of chapters out of a book and not a complete story. You get hints about Sylvie and Paul’s lives but not enough to really get a feel for them. Sylvie has been married and has a child but her father controls her every move. Why? Paul was injured some how and now needs sponsors to return to rodeo. What happened to his former sponsors? I truly was left with more questions than answers. However, what little there was to read kept my interest just left me wanting more. This was a snippit in time but didn’t feel like a complete story. What there was I loved.
Once a year for the past 3 years Sylvie goes to Las Vegas and enjoys a 1 Night Stand. The rest of the year she does what her father requires of her. Paul needs a date for a function where he will try to get a big sponsor to return to rodeo. He asked 1 Night Stand to find him one. Though they have never met before, Sylvie and Paul are immediately attracted to each other. Paul doesn’t want it to end with one night. Can he convince Sylvie?
Sylvie Proulx has a very proper, professional life, where every second is scheduled and each mouthful of food carefully documented and exercised away. But a woman has needs. So she discreetly requests a 1NS date from Madame Eve, only to be paired with a free-spirited cowboy from Freewill, Wyoming with a thing for steak. Paul Gaines needs a sponsor for the national rodeo circuit and travels back to Vegas to seek out a meeting. He needs a date to the fancy party, and calls on a dating service he's known for a long time, expecting a night of fun and companionship. But the more he discovers about Sylvie, the more he wants to cover her in crème brûlée and teach her how to ride a horse. Sylvie has very careful boundaries, and Paul only has one night to convince her to give him a tomorrow.
