This book is a stand-alone second book about a unique and interesting vampire band in New Orleans. In the first book Johnny Malone fakes his death and in this one he has to prove that he is alive to a French bureaucrat, Lizette. It’s not as easy as it seems and Johnny would really rather party. Lizette has to track him down to his bandmate, Drake, another member of the band, has his eyes on the very human caterer, Josie Lynn. Though dressed in a pirate customer, thanks to the bride, Drake is sure he can sweep Josie Lynn off her feet. Josie Lynn isn’t having anything to do with Drake. She has a business to run and doesn’t have the time or money for some playboy. When they wake up the day after the wedding, several things are obvious. They are in a sexual dungeon, half dressed and no one remembers the night before. What happened?
Humorous situations occur on a regular basis as the band and a few additions run around New Orleans meeting people they don’t remember and find themselves falling in love with people that they shouldn’t be. Cross dressing men doing a Cher imitation are prime suspects on spiking the punch but what all did they do? Lizette is sure that they are all going to be killed for being vampires. Josie Lynn has no idea that they really are vampires. Johnny just wants to find Saxon and Drake is feeling something he’s never felt before. While there is some sex in this story, it’s as fun as the rest of the book. I really enjoyed laughing my way through New Orleans and even the quick visit to Paris. Even if you don’t life paranormal romances, read this one because it’s so much more than just a bunch of vampires.
When one of their own ties the knot with a dominatrix (no pun intended), The Impalers?a vampire rock band?are ready to party down. But trouble awaits them once again when they wake up?
Attending their bandmate Saxon’s wedding seemed simple enough for Johnny Malone and Drake Hanover. But after waking up in a dominatrix’s dungeon, they realize their cash and cell phones have been stolen?along with the bride’s wedding dress and the groom. And then there’s the matter of the two women in the room?
Loose cannon Johnny is handcuffed to Lizette, an uptight paper pusher. She wants to help save Johnny from the horrible fate in store for him at the hands of the Vampire Alliance, but he won’t sign the paperwork. Then there’s Josie, the waifish caterer from the reception, who rescues Drake from a sex swing. Josie may be cute and make a great cupcake, but Drake knows she might also be the thief. Or it could have been that gang of drag queens all dressed as Cher?
Regardless, Johnny and Lizette need to get out of these handcuffs. Drake and Josie need to find their missing belongings. And Saxon needs to be located before the Vampire Alliance comes down on them hard
