Invitation to Eden books are generally fairly short but don’t expect that with this one! This is a full length story and part of Joey W Hill’s Vampire Queen series. Now, having said that, you do not have to have read any previous Invitation to Eden books or Vampire Queen books to thoroughly and completely enjoy this one. And, enjoy it I did. Joey W Hill does awesome BDSM stories full of emotion and intriguing characters. There is plenty of sex throughout which adds to the story. BDSM is a central theme and how she mixes vampire and human aspects is outstanding. There is so much tension in this story that you’re not sure if there is going to be a happy ending or not. However, you won’t be able to put this book down because it is so powerful. Yes, I was up late reading and it was so worth it. Eden is a very magical island and this story has it coming alive. I’m so glad I read this book.
Kaela is a submissive is a world where that desire can get her killed. She’s a vampire and vampires fight for domination. To be submissive is to be without power or worth. For years, Kaela has fought her way in the vampire world but now she’s tired. An invitation to Eden says they can give her the fantasy she wants and Kaela agrees. What she finds is a human Dom who is willing to fight for her submission and for her trust. Is 10 days going to be enough time?
Vampires drink blood, they’re superior to humans, and they’re sexual Dominants. Every vampire knows those truths. A vampire’s human servant is property, plaything, pawn—and the only living being a vampire can trust. Though she may own him, body, heart and soul, a human servant keeps a vampire from feeling alone in her dangerous, political world. But Kaela has a secret. She’s a vampire with a burning need to submit, to belong to a Master, and definitely not a vampire Master, who will use the advantage for political or emotional domination. But what kind of human male will consent to becoming a vampire’s servant, a 300-year life of utter servitude, to be her Master behind closed doors? An invitation to Eden offers her the chance to discover her elusive hero…and indulge the bliss of surrender...
