Doms of Dark Haven is a unique collection of stories by three very different authors. Each story revolves around the BDSM club of Dark Haven. Occasionally you may see characters from one story making a cameo appearance in another. Each story is separate and doesn’t need the others to make it work. And each, while visiting Dark Haven, has its own unique twist.
Sierra Cartwright starts this book out with A Hawkeye Story called Met Her Match. Torin Carter and Mira Araceli are partners within Hawkeye. Mira isn’t a partner that Torin wants. It’s not because she isn’t capable but more along the lines that Torin can’t help himself to protect females. It’s just part of who he is. When Torin finds out that Mira has gone to Dark Haven without him, he’s upset. When he finds her in the middle of a scene, he breaks it up even knowing that by doing so he is violating the rules. He’s not letting anyone else see Mira’s sweet ass but him! But after turning her down and being her partner, can he figure out where he wants to go with Mira or is he going to have to ask for another partner?
Educating Evangeline by Belinda McBride is next. Eva is trying to escape the men following her. She’s lucked out as the club up ahead is having a Victorian night and as Eva has been working at a Victorian function all day, she’s in costume. Eva doesn’t even flinch as she pays her membership and entry fees only to find herself in a BDSM club! Trying to keep her panic down as well as her inner wolf, Eva searches for a safe place. When a man grabs her arm, Eva panics until he takes control. Some how she’s found the alpha for a local pack. Eva is use to being alone. Can she trust this unknown wolf to keep her safe?
Simon Says: Mine by Cherise Sinclair brings experienced Dom Simon out for his own story. Simon was introduced in an earlier book by Ms Sinclair. Simon was giving a demonstration on flogging when he noticed Rona McGregor. She looked a little lost and she was definitely a mature woman. Simon wanted nothing more than to claim her. Rona had never been in a BDSM club before but it was on her list of fantasies she’d like to try. She doesn’t plan on actually partaking in any of the scenes but she definitely wants to check it out. The guy giving the demonstrations sure could fill her fantasies but she’s sure he would be more interested in the younger, better looking women than some one with children in college. Can Master Simon get Rona to trust him and allow him to introduce her to the BDSM lifestyle? He sure hopes so because his fantasies have her playing a starring role.
With each story so unique and different you would think that they wouldn’t work well together but they do. I thoroughly enjoyed each story and liked the twists that each other gave their characters.
Maybe because three authors gave their own descriptions of Dark Haven or maybe for some other reason, but I was able to visualize this club from the front door to the basement. Each story brought you into the front door and through the reception area. You learned what you needed to enter and how much it cost. (I wonder if that is truly the amount to enter this type of club.) The people, the bar and the specialty rooms were all given life. At this point, I think I could navigate Dark Haven without any problems.
The characters were super. Each was well defined and well rounded. There are no cardboard characters from these authors! Characters were quickly introduced and with a few words their characters came to life. You got a good feel of their backgrounds, their hopes and their desires.
Okay, bottom line…..I bought this book for Ms Sinclair’s story. I love her stuff. I was really surprised by the first two stories. They weren't straight BDSM and I enjoyed the differences. I'm guessing both authors were doing some kind of tie in to other stories that they have written. To be honest, I wouldn't mind reading more of their stuff. As for Master Simon, all I can say is I was laughing in places and wishing I could change places in a lot. Ms Sinclair did an outstanding job expressing the emotions. I loved the way she put Jake into the plot. (A character from the same book that introduced Master Simon. Now, to wait for his story.)
I think this book showcases these three authors and their styles in a wonderful way. I enjoyed each for different reasons and can honestly say that I would recommend any of them. Awesome book and a great way to spend a summer afternoon or a stormy night or just about any time.

So when the beautifully submissive Mira crawls into his bedroom, a leather belt between her teeth, he calls on all his resolve to send her away.

With an empty nest and divorce in hand, Rona decides it’s time to explore the fantasies that nourished her through a long, tedious marriage to a man whose idea of outrageous sex was leaving the lights on. At the top of her fantasy list is touring Dark Haven, the BDSM club, but she isn’t prepared for the effect of a powerful Dom. When Master Simon takes control and introduces her to toys and sensations she’s never felt before, she realizes he could fulfil every fantasy on her list all by himself. But she’s vowed to never get trapped in a relationship again.
One of the most popular Doms in Dark Haven, Master Simon has had his fill of eager, shallow, young subs. Rona is older, intelligent, independent...and sweetly submissive. After an evening of intense pleasure and despite her obvious attraction, she refuses to see him again. He needs a way to change her mind. She’s not the first sub he’s taken on a journey of exploration, but he’s beginning to think she might be the last.
