This is an absolutely wonderful fantasy novel with a nice romantic twist as well as a long lost heir. There is so much going on in this story and each element builds on another becoming a complex world with lots of depth and imagination. The world developed is full of mystery and magic. Gates which once allowed people to move between two worlds have been closed and assumed destroyed. Gate Keepers are gone and people are put to death for following the old ways. This story has so many layers that you can’t help but get wrapped up in what is happening. This is the first book in a series so much of this will be seen in future stories or should be. Lots of characters are introduced and all are well written. Nadia has many roles in order to locate her missing nephew. Most people do not know all of her roles. Gregor has his own secrets which if found out could get him killed. The attraction is there between them but neither can trust the other. Though marketed as a paranormal romance, I would say any fantasy reader will love this story.
