The League of Illusion, #3

Adventures in not only a steampunk world but an alternative reality! Action, monsters and traveling between dimensions starts this story off at a good clip and keeps it quickly moving all the way to the end. There are evil elves and an evil magic user that begins to become likeable. Epic fights and three headed monsters made out of flesh and machine. All kinds of things going on and in the mist of it all, a romance blooms. I can’t think of anything this story is missing! The world that has been developing over the course of this trilogy is complex yet easy to understand. The characters are well thought out and each is unique as well as interesting. This story is one that will attract those fantasy/steampunk readers as well as romance readers. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and I’m some what sad to see the adventures end. I loved the world, the characters and the quest.

This is the last book in a terrific trilogy and like the others, this one can be read without having read the previous books and it centers around one of three brothers. Being that this is the third book; characters and the main plot tying all of these books together are prevalent in this story. However, due to expert storytelling, you would quickly be able to follow the entire story line and thoroughly enjoy this book even if you missed one of the other books or both of them!

Sebastian traveled through a portal trying to go back in time. That was 5 years ago and not only did he not figure out how to travel back in time, he hasn’t figured out how to go home. He works with the blacksmith and tries to stay away from most of the towns people. This changes when the morrigan, a three headed monster, comes to the town! Drea, a local healer, hits him over the head when he goes to check out the morrigan. Upon awakening, he learns that someone has passed through the portal near town. Thinking it’s his brother, Sebastian heads off to meet him with Drea and starts an adventure no one ever expected. Suddenly, Sebastian needs to use the magic he gave up when he passed through the portal in order to save Drea and possibly the world!

Book Blurb for Destiny

The conclusion to the League of Illusion trilogy

Five years ago, Sebastian Davenport tried to go back in time to reverse a fatal mistake, but found himself trapped in another reality. Unaware of the jeopardy facing his family and the League of Illusion, he gave up his magic for a quiet life as a blacksmith. Quiet, until a monstrous three-headed goddess of war called the morrigan comes to town…

Seeing Sebastian poised to charge the goddess, healer Drea Blairwood has no choice but to hit him over the head to stop him. Nursing the mysterious outsider back to health afterward is just an added benefit. She knows he's hiding something about his past, but has no idea what kind of adventure awaits them both.

Sebastian has no desire to risk the life of anyone else, let alone someone as enticing as Drea. But after militant elves kidnap Drea, Sebastian needs to find a way to reclaim his magic. The fate of the League—and the world—hangs in the balance.
