This is a truly fun Christmas story set in the small town of Twilight, TX. Twilight is the setting for an entire series of books but you don’t have to read the series to thoroughly and completely love this story. While small town girl meeting and falling in love with a big star is a theme that has been used many times before, this story comes across as fresh and funny. After all Paige throws Cash out of a building at their first meeting. Things don’t go smoothly for these two in the love life and their regular life. But, the ups and downs show their real character which makes for a great story. Exes play a role as do friends, family and the paparazzi. For such a sweet love story, there is a lot of complexity. From beginning to end, this story kept my interest. And, while it is set over Christmas, it would be an awesome story to read any time of the year. After all, falling in love doesn’t just happen during one season of the year! This is a terrific light hearted romance.
Paige is just starting her new job and is determined to do an outstanding job. So, when her boss tells her no one can come in until a certain time, no one is coming in until that time regardless of who they are! Cash’s good friend has asked him to take part in a charity concert. The plan is to meet her at the theater she owns and then hang out at her house for a few days. He’s shocked when he’s barred from where they are to meet by a sexy woman in a Santa Baby outfit. More shocking though is that he seems to be hearing music; music that has been eluding him for the past year. Is it just time or is it the woman?
Everyone in town knows that Christmas in Twilight has a way of bringing lovers together . . . but will its magic bring this pair from “I won’t” to “I do”?
Wearing a too-tight “Santa Baby” costume held in by a double pair of Spanx, Paige MacGregor runs headlong into a gorgeous, grey-eyed hunk of a long, tall cowboy. And not just any cowboy, but country-western star Cash Colton, visiting Twilight to perform in a charity concert. Most women would melt at his feet, but Paige knows all too much about self-assured men with cocky attitudes, so she tells him to get lost.
Cash is in town, nursing his own broken heart, but Paige has knocked him off his feet. He’s convinced she’s perfect—someone to inspire his music and share his now-empty bed. True, he’s not marriage material, but he’s determined to convince her that they’re perfect together—at least for a while. But what he doesn’t count on is falling in love with the one woman who isn’t about to give him the time of day!
