Christmas in Sugarcreek

A Seasons of Sugarcreek Christmas Novel

Shelly Shepard Gray has the talent to take you into an Amish community and make you feel as if you are part of it. She recognizes the differences and some of the issues faced and shares them in such a way as to make them understandable. Though this story is basically about Judith and Ben, other loved characters in Sugarcreek are present. Like an Amish community, family, church and customs are so intertwined that you can’t have one without the others present. And, what better time of year than Christmas to enjoy all three!

Impressions stay with people, especially in the Amish community. Everyone knows that Ben Knox is trouble which is why Judith Graber is concerned when her father hires him to work in the family store. Okay, maybe the fact that she’s always been attracted to the bad boy might have something to do with it too. Ben has always admired Judith but knows that she’s not for him. She’s everything a woman should be and that’s too good for the likes of someone like him. He plans on working through Christmas at the store, selling his family’s house and leaving forever. But as Judith and Ben work together, they learn that there is more than just first impressions to each other.

I love this heartwarming series and each and every story in it. It’s as if Sugarcreek was a real community that I could visit and feel welcome in. Enjoying Christmas with the Graber family is special and I was thrilled that I could do it. This is the perfect Christmas romance for everyone to enjoy.

Book Blurb for Christmas in Sugarcreek

Judith Graber has always been the obedient daughter. Over the years, she's taken care of her younger siblings, helped around the house, and worked in her family's store. But now Judith feels overworked, overlooked, and underappreciated, especially as the holiday season approaches.

Everything changes when her father hires Ben Knox.

Ben Knox is the "bad boy" of Sugarcreek. Two years ago he left town under a cloud of shame. Rumors circulated that his rumspringa had been filled with more than the usual harmless explorations.

Sparks fly between Ben and Judith. But the last thing Judith wants to be is one more girl who falls under Ben's spell—while Ben wants Judith to realize there's more to him than his reputation. Could this Christmas season bring love and a new life for the unlikeliest pair in Sugarcreek?
