The story between the pages of “Chased” has been previously published… but has been refreshed in this new release. It is also part of a series about four hot brothers. That being said, it stands alone and is worth reading again.
This book has an interesting twist as Liz was Marc’s older brother’s girlfriend at one point. She’s also a few years older than Marc which is not a big deal to him but it is to her. Liz is also ready to settle down but doesn’t want to get hurt again so she’s looking for what she considers a perfect husband. These things come together in a fun story that will keep your interest. I loved seeing the give and take and Marc’s frustration in convincing Liz that he is old enough to know his own mind. Misunderstanding still happen and just when you think the trust is there, something else happens. The journey these two take is great and the characters are written with depth and complexity. This book and this series are perfect beach books or lazy day books.
The Story: Marc is attracted to Liz. This shouldn’t be an issue except she use to date his older brother. This could cause some awkward family gatherings. She’s also older than him but he doesn’t care. Liz sees Marc as the youngest Chase brother. She’s never thought of him as a possible boyfriend though he is sexy. He’s just too young. She’s ready to settle down while she’s sure he’s just beginning to spread his wild oats. But, a hot kiss has her wondering. Can Marc convince Liz that he’s serious?

Mayor’s assistant Liv has been hurt too many times to let a Chase brother into her life—or into her bed. She’s ready for something more. Something she doesn’t think the six-years-younger Marc is ready to give. Until they share a wildly passionate kiss, that is. Then all bets are off.
Knowing he’ll need more than pretty words to break through Liv’s wall of heartbreak, Marc takes the gamble of his life to prove his love: two days away, full of hot sex and bared souls. But will this bet be enough to win her heart forever?
