Burnin' Up Memphis

Firehouse 69, #1

This story may be as hot as the fires these men put out. Though only a novella, it covers a lot of stuff and does it well. From grief of losing a close friend to discovering that you have a kinky side, Coop goes through an emotional trip that will leave him changed forever. Along the way he finds Moira who will help guide him, though it doesn’t seem as if he needs much guidance as he takes charge in the bedroom naturally. The story is basically from Coop’s perspective and his struggles are expressed in such a way that you are right there with him. However, given the passion between him and Moira, you may want to be Moira. This story is the first book in the Firehouse 69 series but some familiar characters from Ms Devlin’s Delta Heat series make an appearance. It’s not necessary to read that series though before starting this one but Delta Heat definitely is hot. But, back to this book. There are some great secondary characters introduced and I can wait to read their stories as this one was awesome.

Coop is dealing with one problem after another starting when his best friend is killed on the job. He knows it’s not good for him to sit around his empty apartment. His girlfriend left and took just about everything. So, he decides to take up an invitation to visit Club LaForge, a local BDSM club. Quickly though he questions his decision. Though it appears that he is getting turned on by some of the scenes, he is having a hard time merging those feelings with how he was brought up. Moira senses this and believes Coop could be the Dom she’s dreamed out. Can she work some magic?

She’s the one fire he may not be able to control.

Firehouse 69, Book 1

When a roof collapse kills his best friend and his girlfriend clears out his apartment and leaves, firefighter John Cooper knows he shouldn’t sit alone in his empty apartment. But when he accepts an invitation to Club LaForge, his feet get colder with every step he takes inside.

The sights, sounds and smells of the BDSM club make him sweat, and not because he’s turned off. Yet he can’t bring himself to admit—to himself, or to his luscious guide, Moira—that this lifestyle might just be what he needs.

An experienced BDSM trainer, Moira senses that Coop is not only a Dom in the making, but exactly what she’s been looking for. A man to be her lover and her Dom. The only problem is, Coop isn’t looking for anything complicated.

Moira’s willing to start slow and easy, but even once there’s enough trust to bring Coop into her world—and to her Dom—she’s still worried he’ll look for the nearest exit.

Warning: Do you smell smoke? Don’t worry, it’s just a hot and sexy firefighter getting down and dirty. Contains BDSM scenes, ropes, floggers, some spanking, some sharing, and some five-alarm sex.
