Bull

Red, Hot, & Blue, Book 10

The humor comes through this story and actually had me laughing. That’s not to say this story was all fun and games because it wasn’t. These guys are special ops and the situations they get into can be dangerous, like a bomb blowing up and terrorists. The blending of these two elements, humor and danger, plus a smoking hot guy, sex on the mission and even a cheating girlfriend gave this story that extra something and kept my interest from page one. I loved the characters. Bull is such a guy…… hard headed, big hearted and gets a hard on when the adrenalin flows.

I thought this story was perfect and a great addition to Ms Johnson’s Red, Hot and Blue series. Each story in the series stands alone but they really are so good that you won’t want to miss a single one. Though they can be read independently, the story does build on the previous stories; i.e. BB’s modeling for recruiting,

Bull takes his job seriously, even the training exercises. So, when the hostage gets killed during the exercise, he blames himself. Looking for a little loving, Bull heads to his girlfriend’s house where he finds her in a hot tub with another man. Things just aren’t going right for Bull so when the commander asks for a volunteer, Bull volunteers even without knowing what the mission is. Marly is a professional harpist. Her ex-boyfriend helped get her a job at a big political function. Marly hopes people notice how she looks and don’t notice how bad she’s playing. She notices the big guy hanging around and figures he’s some sort of body guard. Bull learns that there really is a bomb in the building about the same time Marly stumbles into his search. Things get interesting as they discover each other at the same time terrorists take hostages!

Book Blurb for Bull

When the going gets tough, the tough go out with a bang.

Spec Op “Bull” Ford is as big as his nickname. His team, the civilians he protects, whether they know it or not, all depend on him. But beneath his stony exterior beats the heart of a caring man—unless he’s crossed.

Between her job as professional harpist and fending off an ex-boyfriend who won’t take the hint, Marly feels like a circus juggler. She doesn’t need some oversized, overzealous security guard accusing her of being a terrorist—as if a five-foot-nothing woman in a ball gown could threaten anyone.

Though when the real terrorists strike, she’s more than grateful to have Bull at her side…or on top, which certainly makes what could be her last breaths memorable.

But after Bull takes the brunt of the explosion, Marly is left with feelings for a man who doesn’t remember who she is. And by the time the red-hot memories come flooding back, the trail to her heart may have gone cold.

Warning: Contains explosive sexual encounters—literally!
