Sinners on Tour, #1

Professor of Human Sexuality, Myrna Evans is at a boring stuffing conference in Chicago. She’s done a presentation on using musical riffs in the classroom to explain male sexuality when she comes across one of her favorite bands, The Sinners, in the hotel bar area. Myrna is in the mood for something better than stodgy so invites herself to join the drunken bunch.

The Sinners have 5 awesome guys in the band. They’re a metal band that is known for their fantastic guitar playing. Eric Sticks plays drums.  Sedric Lionheart or Sed does the lead vocals and seems to get more than his fair share of the women. Jace Seynour plays bass guitar and is the newest member of the band. Trey Mills plays rhythm guitar. Brian Sinclair is also a guitarist and in Myrna’s thoughts a musical genus.

Though Sed puts the moves on Myrna, Brian is the one she’s interested in. However, right now he’s more than drunk. Besides, Myrna is like 7 years older than him but the fantasies are great. Myrna invites Brian up to her room for a cure for his problem and their first misunderstanding happens. Brian thinks Myrna is inviting him up to take care of the hard he’s had on since he met her. Myrna is talking handover.

It’s a good thing Myrna wasn’t thinking sex that night as Brian falls asleep after taking Myrna’s cure. She doesn’t have much choice but to put him to bed and as there is only one bed in the room, she gets to share! Come morning though, Brian is more than ready to explore Myrna and Myrna, despite her ex’s voice in her mind calling her a whore, doesn’t mind getting to know Brian a whole lot more.

Strangely, having sex with Myrna comes with new music and Brian can’t wait to write it down. Using Myrna as something to write on, Brian writes some superb music and takes her to share it with his band mates. Standing practically naked in front of a bunch of guys she doesn’t know should make Myrna really uncomfortable but these guys welcome her into their group.

The problem is, Myrna has to get back to her real world though she’s not too sure she wants to. Brian has other ideas as he finds Myrna inspires some great music and he doesn’t want her to go. Myrna doesn’t want love and Brian is a romantic. Can they some how work things out or is this just a moment in time?

Though the premise seems a little far-fetched, I loved the book.

The band was awesome. The concerts were full of groupies and energy. Sex and beer were common commodities. These guys seemed to share almost every part of their lives but considering they were with each other for weeks on end, I guess they didn’t have much choice. They also have two different personas, the one on stage and the real person.

All of the characters from the band to Myrna to the roadies to the fans were done with perfection. Everyone had their role and they played it well. The fans “loved” the members of the band and would do anything to get their attention. They just knew that if a member would notice them, they would love them too. Myrna has issues from her past and does not want to get into another relationship with love. She’s also enjoying the freedom that hanging out with Brian is giving her. Each member of the band is unique and has their own quirks, past and desires. You can’t help but to fall in love with them all.

As you can imagine, sex with a member of a metal band can be wild. That is reflected in this book where things are anything except tame. If you can think of it, it’s probably in this story or something very similar. Yet for all the sex, this truly is a love story and more than the wild sex. That isn’t to say that the sex isn’t hot and graphic because it is. It’s just saying that the story is all that plus more.

I loved reading about Brian and Myrna and I’m so glad that this is book 1 of a series because I love the rest of the band members too. I so can’t wait until each finds someone. These guys are so sensual, sexual and yummy. Myrna will keep them in line up to a point but where this series goes next will give readers another wild ride and I can’t wait!
