The Folk Trilogy Book 1

“Away” is a fantastic fantasy story that will have you wondering what is going on and how things will be solved. At first, as lots of characters and folk are being introduced things are a bit confusing but soon everything straightens out and the adventure begins. People disappear and a long lost brother appears. Can this be connected? And, this is just one of the many mysteries that come up in this story. The characters are great. They are unique and have interesting backgrounds. The world that is developed is well thought out. Grim and Annie may have a love interest but they are also working together to figure out if Annie’s looking into her brother’s reappearance has anything to do with her being attacked. From police to princes, this story has a multitude of characters who contribute to the story and leave you wanting more. This is the first book in a series that is sure to be must reads for those who love fantasy stories with a romantic element. Oh, and don’t forget the mystery element! I can’t wait until the next book comes out!

The Story: Annie has come to the Denver area to see if she can figure out what happened to her brother 10 years ago. It was like he just disappeared without a trace. Though she is a graphic designer, the only position she can find is waiting tables at a local bar. What she doesn’t realize is this bar is a local hang out for the Folk, also known as fey or fairies. Grim is a Guardian of the Ward. His assignment is to make sure the Folk behave themselves in front of humans. Annie only knows him as a security guard/investigator. When Annie seeing someone whom she is sure is her brother, she thinks hiring Grim to find him is a good idea. This really isn’t Grim’s job but he agrees to do it anyway. This quickly starts the ball rolling on much more than anyone could imagine. What has Annie and Grim uncovered?
